My teachers in India taught that personal transformation can begin in a group yoga class, but is only accomplished by working one-on-one with a teacher. Private yoga is a great way to accelerate your practice and realize your full potential.
Sometimes people are intimidated by the thought of joining a group yoga class. They have read how yoga can help with the stress of daily life or that it can help a chronically sore back, but they think they are “too tight” or “too out of shape” to start yoga. This is where private yoga sessions can help — you receive the personal attention that is sometimes missing in group yoga classes. A personal connection with a teacher is the way yoga has been transmitted for thousands of years. It works. It is the basis of my training. How we structure our relationship depends on who you are and what you need.
Private sessions provide a setting where your individual needs are completely addressed. Yoga postures and pranayama (breath work) are chosen and developed to meet your specific needs. Learning and practicing postures and breath work at your own pace is the most effective way to realize the benefits of yoga. Through an approach that is gradual and gentle, you can experience how the subtle power of yoga works with all aspects of your being.
Some people want to start a personal meditation practice but don’t know where to begin. Some students want a personal practice outlined for them and then work at home alone. Others simply enjoy the personal attention and instruction. Still others need to rehabilitate from a sports injury or have a specific health issue that they need to address.
Whatever the reason, private yoga sessions address the entire mind-body complex in a holistic manner. One or more of the following benefits may be achieved:

Yoga empowers students to heal themselves. The Yoga Sutra-s state that “yoga in a journey…from dependence to independence.” My work with private students focuses on the art of tapping the resources deep within YOU to heal yourself.
The current fee schedule (subject to change) is for a 90 minute session in my home studio or your home or place of business.
- One time private session: $95 home studio; $125 off-site
- Ongoing private sessions: $85 home studio; $115 off-site
- Private group classes: add $10/per person to above rates
- Discount available for booking four or more sessions
- Private class packages MUST be completed within 6 months, no extensions given
- $25 will be added for travel outside of Aurora-Batavia-Geneva-St. Charles-Elgin
